We are proud to be involved in the arrival of the first long-term nuclear equipment, the nuclear reactor core trap, at the specialized port of Dabaa.
Within the framework of the executive steps taken by the Nuclear Power Plants Authority to generate electricity for the implementation of the Dabaa nuclear power plant project, the specialized seaport of Dabaa received the first long-term nuclear equipment “catcher core”, which is related to the first nuclear unit, as this achievement comes after the completion of operations Examination and inspection, which took place last October to ensure the completion of the manufacturing process at the “TYAZHMASH JSC” factory in Syzran, Federal Russia.
This comes after the Nuclear Power Plants Authority, through joint cooperation with the Engineering Authority of the Armed Forces, implemented the specialized sea port in Dabaa to be dedicated to receiving nuclear equipment for the Dabaa nuclear plant project, and also to fulfill all requirements related to the operation of the port.
The reactor core trap, which is planned to be installed at the base of the reactor building, is one of the long-term equipment that distinguishes the advanced third generation reactors, which is being constructed at the Dabaa site to reflect the most accurate and latest technologies used in the field of nuclear power plants, which reflects the highest levels of nuclear safety to ensure operation safe and continuous operation of the Dabaa nuclear power plant.
